Disney's Christopher Robin hit theaters in August 2018 and remains one of the CUTEST movies of that year in my book. I got to attend the red carpet premier in Los Angeles and the behind-the-scenes awesomeness are such great memories for me. That's why I created this “Hunny” Snack Mix as a fun way to celebrate all of our friends from the Hundred Acre Wood.
Now that Disney+ is here, don't you need a fun snack to enjoy with your favorite movies and shows? The answer is YES. You do.

Ingredients:
4 cups honeycomb cereal
3 cups pretzels
3/4 cup whole almonds
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
2 tablespoons honey
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 and line a baking sheet with foil. Spray with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
In a large bowl, add cereal, pretzels and almonds and mix well. Set aside,
In a small saucepan, add brown sugar, corn syrup and honey. Mix well and heat over medium low heat, stirring constantly until sugar is melted. Watch this doesn't boil too much, if it does, turn down the heat and continue to stir. Once all sugar is dissolved, pour over cereal and pretzel mix. Mix well to evenly coat.
Pour into prepared baking sheet and spread as evenly as possible.
Bake for 15 minutes. Let cool completely before breaking apart and enjoying snack mix. Pooh would approve, don't you think?
Makes 8 cups
I think the almonds really make this awesome, plus, they add a bit of protein. If you're looking for a nut-free option, you could omit the almonds and add 3/4 cup of another ingredient…either extra pretzels or cereal or something else entirely, like raisins or sesame snack mix. My kids go to a nut free school so in order for us to make this a lunchbox option, we have to leave out the almonds.

Up until our most recent visit to Walt Disney World, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been the park we’ve spent the least amount of time in. We’ve either skipped it entirely or scooted by near the end of our visit as an afterthought. With the new opening of Toy Story Land, Hollywood Studios has become THE…
Buying the perfect-sized ham for all those holiday gatherings isn’t easy. Is it a pound per person, or two pounds per person? You just never know. When I’m standing at the supermarket staring at the ham choices, I figure I’d rather have more ham versus not enough. It’s never a problem figuring out what to…
The “Year of the Pig” is almost upon us and we’re celebrating with some Chinese New Year Coloring Pages over here. Chinese New Year (often referred to as Lunar New Year) begins on January February 5th. Two of my kids are adopted from China so celebrating Chinese New Year is a thing for us. It’s…
Christmas is really the “most wonderful time of the year.” Christmas is also the most stressful, overscheduled, and expensive time of the year. That’s why you need to know how to make the perfect eggnog martini. I’m here for you. This, my friend, is the Perfect Christmas Martini AKA the eggnog martini. If you like…
One of my strongest memories from my 1970’s childhood is of my mom sunbathing. She’d put on her bikini, fill up her Tupperware tumbler with iced coffee, grab her pack of Salems, her large brown bottle of coconut-scented oil and head for the backyard where she’d bask in the sun for hours. By summer’s end,…
Happy Holidays versus Merry Christmas. I don’t understand why this is a thing that bothers people. There are a lot of things worth getting into an argument about, but this isn’t one of them. I celebrate Christmas and Jesus and all that stuff most people probably see as traditional in my part of the world….
