2019 is the Year of the Pig and what better way to celebrate is to make some fun and easy crafts with your kids? 2018 was the Year of the Dog, and since this list was originally curated in 2018, lots of these crafts are dog or puppy themed. The Chinese zodiac is based on a 12 year cycle so there are 12 different animal signs that are said to pass on particular characteristics to those born under a particular sign. Even if you're not a believer in astrology – Chinese or otherwise – it's still interesting to read and learn about. This site gives the best and easiest to digest breakdown of the Chinese Zodiac that I've seen. For me, the accuracy is hit or miss.
