If you're visiting Hot Springs Arkansas I recommend staying at the Hotel Hot Springs. It's central location on Malvern Avenue puts you within easy walking distance of lots of shopping, dining and entertainment options, including Bridge Street Live.

When is Bridge Street Live in Hot Springs happening?

Bridge Street Live is happening on Thursday evenings in June. Our family attended the kickoff on June 2. Remaining events are June 9, 16, 23, and 30th. The party starts at 5:00 p.m. with a deejay and family games. Live bands start at 7:00 p.m.

I was absolutely in awe of this guy's bubble game.

Is Bridge Street Live Family Friendly

Absolutely! My kids (11 and 12) had a blast dancing and playing games with kids of all ages. The deejay, local radio personalities and even the mayor of Hot Springs (who seems like an all around cool guy) were in attendance. In addition to games and prizes, there's a hula hoop contest. If you don't have your own hula hoop, no problem. There's someone onsite to help you make one out of plastic piping, paint, and tape.

Don't have a hula hoop? No problem. You will before you leave Bridge Street Live.

Is there food available at Bridge Street Live?

On the night we visited, there was a vendor selling corn dogs, funnel cakes, and fresh squeezed lemonade. There were also several vendors selling beer and some of those booths also had food items. Other onsite vendors had various items for sale, mostly hand crafts and tee shirts.

There is food available at Bridge Street Live but if you're expecting to find a ton of food truck options, you might be disappointed. All the downtown restaurants are open if you want to grab a bite after.
The jumbo corn dogs and fresh lemonade were really good.

What do I need to bring to Bridge Street Live?

I recommend bringing a folding chair and folding money. Most of the beer booths didn't accept credit cards. I also recommend bringing a bottle of water and some insect repellant, if the bugs tend to like you. Summer evenings are warm but there's plenty of shade on Bridge Street while you're waiting for the sun to go down. Other than that, just bring your dance moves and be ready to have a good time.

Best of all? Bridge Street Live is a free event!

You'll have to pay extra for food and beverages but the entertainment and family games are absolutely free. We happened to arrive in Hot Springs during the kickoff Bridge Street Live and it was one of our favorite things about the entire trip.
