    1. I’ve never tried to make them with white sugar before…I don’t imagine the taste would be that different but it would probably impact the lovely brown color. And, these are really easy, even if you are not that much of a baker.

  1. I’m on a diet and reading blogs like this is not recommended to me! Just kidding. Blogs like this are very nice and informative. I love eating and cooking all kind of food. So, I would love to try this chewy walnut squares. It looks so tasty and yummy. But, I need to finish my diet first! Just kidding, I will make it as soon as possible! Did anyone try it?

  2. I made these squares for the FIRST time last week because I just wanted a little something sweet. These squares are addictive!! Just one thing… can I double the recipe and use a 9×13 pan?

  3. There is an error in the recipe listed on the bottom. Lists 1/3 cup of baking soda. Should be 1/3 teaspoon, Glad I re-read the recipe on top.

  4. There is a mistake with the baking soda on the second part. It says 1/3 of cup instead of 1/3 tsp. There are in the oven now…. Yummmm
